The Ramon Foundation and the Israel Space Agency in the Ministry of Science and Technology invite you to be partners in a historic program, which will have immense impact on the State of Israel’s future generations.
At the beginning of 2022, the ‘RAKIA’ Mission will go into space as the first private mission in history and onboard will be the second Israeli in space, and the first Israeli on the International Space Station, Eytan Stibbe. This mission is headed by the Ramon Foundation in collaboration with the Israeli Ministry of Science and Technology’s Space Agency, and it will be dedicated entirely to the promotion of science and education in Israel.
Throughout modern history, the journey to space has ignited the imaginations of millions of children around the world and provided them with the inspiration to explore deeper into the fields of space, science, and technology. For many populations, for whom scientific literacy is foreign and distant, the journey to space is a window into the acquisition of technological skills that bring with them economic and social opportunities.
This is an opportunity for you to assist us in promoting and advancing Rona Ramon’s vision, to inspire the children of Israel to dream big and to dream far, while advancing collaborations, uniting people, and bringing them closer, by using space as the common language.
The educational program, which will commence with the Israeli Space Week, appeals to educational organizations and entities in diverse fields of content, and to a wide range of target audiences within Israeli society. The program will run during 2021 and will culminate in the launching of the spacecraft and Eytan Stibbe’s stay on the International Space Station. The 200 hours which Eytan Stibbe plans to spend on the International Space Station, will be dedicated to the children of Israel. These hours will serve as an unprecedented platform in terms of massive cooperation between different entities and the promotion of Israeli educational organizations. We consider the mission of the second Israeli in space to be a trailblazing opportunity for organizations and foundations in this field with almost limitless potential impact.
We are dreaming of great and far-flung opportunities, and we invite you to dream with us.
So, what are we looking for? How do you fit into the picture?ra
Call for proposal for organizations, NEOs and communities interested in taking part in the Educational Mission will be launched in January 2021
