RAKIA – Clarifications with Respect to the Call for Proposals
The Ramon Foundation wishes to make the following clarifications regarding the abovementioned Call for Proposals for the RAKIA project:
- The Ramon Foundation or Eitan Stibbe shall not be held responsible for any delays, deficiencies or errors with respect to the Ax-1 mission, including (but not limited to) the execution of experiments or the demonstration of technologies. Qualifying proposers may be required to sign waivers to that effect.
- Proposals that will not meet the requirements specified in the Call for Proposals (the “Requirements“) by the due date (which is currently set at February 28th, 2021), but that are expected to meet the said requirements at a later date (for instance, due to pending regulatory authorizations, funding, etc.), may be submitted. Such proposals may be included in a standby list and reviewed and examined by the scientific-technological committee (the “Committee“) at the time that the said proposals meet the necessary requirements.
- Proposals that will not meet the Requirements, including belated submissions, may be examined on a case-by-case basis, by the Committee, which will sit in such instances as an “exceptions committee“.
- For the avoidance of doubt, the Committee is not bound to accept any proposal; and any decision by the Committee will be made at its sole discretion. The Committee is not bound to review proposals that do not meet the Requirements.
